Ernest R. Carter, Jr.
Ernie Carter is a native
of Ahoskie and resides in the small town of Powellsville
in Bertie County. His primary areas of practice
are: real estate, both residential and commercial
transactions, and probate and estate administration.
He also serves as counsel to numerous local businesses.
Ernie graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel
Hill with a BS in Business Administration and from
Campbell University School of Law. He was licensed
to practice in North Carolina in 1984 and practiced
as a general practitioner in Ahoskie until joining
Baker Jones in 1997.
Ernie has three children. He is currently serves
as Treasurer of both the Powellsville Volunteer
Fire Department and St. Thomas' Episcopal Church,
where he also sings in the choir. He has served
for over 20 years as a Town Commissioner for the
Town of Powellsville. He acts as Assistant Scout
Master for Boy Scout of America Troop 129 in Ahoskie
and is currently Vice-President of the Ahoskie Rotary
Club.
